Yield

Yield

It refers to the percentage of non-defective items of all produced items, and is usually indicated by the ratio of the number of non-defective items against the number of manufactured items.

Yield = the number of non-defective items / the number of manufactured items

In addition, thinking of yield in terms of materials, it refers to the raw material productivity, which is expressed by the formula:

Raw material productivity = production quantity / raw material's amount used

The yield itself is the percentage of non-defective items of items themselves, and thus Yield is set as an entry of P/M (Parts Master).
