Calculating Gross Requirements

Calculating Gross Requirements

This is a calculation which is first performed in the MRP's planning functions. In this calculation, gross requirements are obtained using the MRP list by grasping the demand quantity for the item (whose logistics is about to be planned) by period, and then unifying them. When the production plan of Product X and Z, and the service demand of Part a are the same as those shown in the figure, respectively, the gross requirements of Part a are calculated in the same way as that shown in the example. In addition, the gross requirements unified by period are taken over to the next stage, calculating net requirements, where the allocation is made to inventory or released goods.
